The Backrooms: No fun edition (01/12/25)

I had quite the nightmare and yet the concept was so silly. An old friend and I went to a backrooms attraction, whatever hat means. It was a town where most doors led to rooms that resembled different monsters, levels and occasionally random events happened. I don't believe the backrooms are interesting, not the way they're currently written at least, but some of the places were creative.
I think this attraction was also partially virtual. How? I'm not sure. Point is, we had fun. We saw one or two monsters and it quite scary, but when I tried to leave through the pause menu it didn’t work. That’s when it stopped being fun. Mind you, other people came to this town, so we weren’t alone in this place, but there was no way to leave through them.
In fact, a guy got people killed by pushing them off a really high place, just because. It's probably because I watched the second season of Squid Game recently. If you know. you know. Anyway, most other people still thought this place was a normal attraction and I wasn't sure how to tell them it wasn't.
We also had internet access, so I was scrolling through backrooms videos on how to beat levels. Unsuccessfully. Also, the reason this dream sucked was that it felt so real. I got exhausted after running, had to control my breathing and felt really hungry after about a day.
I only remember one of the random events thouhg. We were in an old timey town and had to hide in a house before night fell. After that other humans wouldn’t open the door for you, cuz you could be a disguised monster. It was a weird mix of town of salem and the modern social media idea of a skinwalker. Very weird. I still woke up refreshed though. I must have been happy that it was fake.
